Elyse Pantke White Foundation

Pursuing The Dream Of A World Free From Breast Cancer

Foundation Information & Mission Statement

Foundation Background

The Elyse Pantke White Foundation was an idea started by Elyse’s husband, Ross White, during the fall of 2008 as a very informal group of family and friends that wanted to do something more and raise money in Elyse’s honor to support the great research of the Huntsman Cancer Institute
in Salt Lake City.

Elyse was a patient of the Huntsman Cancer Institute for almost five years, fighting breast cancer all the way and never ever giving up hope that the brilliance of the Huntsman Cancer Institute would be her path to a cure from this terrible disease.

Soliciting donations for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in Elyse’s memory has been the top priority for the Elyse Pantke White Foundation and we are now prepared as a organization to start a separate legal foundation in her name to help not only the Huntsman Cancer Foundation of Salt Lake City but to help fund other breast cancer related causes in the community.

Our focus for the Elyse Pantke White Foundation is to be a major annual contributor to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation supporting the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City.  To do this we anticipate two annual events;

-A formal event each winter in the Salt Lake City area allowing our guests to dress in formal or semi-formal attire and dance and celebrate the memory of Elyse in a festive atmosphere.  We held our first “FOREVER PINK PROM” in late January 2009 and raised money to donate to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation.

-The Elyse Pantke White Golf Classic, which will be held every summer in the Salt Lake City area in which we will raise money for breast cancer research through golf entry fees and sponsor donations.

Mission Statement of the Elyse Pantke White Foundation

The mission of The Elyse Pantke White Foundation (EPWF) is to help raise awareness of breast cancer, fund local research and treatment, and support causes and organizations that help fight against breast cancer.   The EPWF is a non-profit group of dedicated volunteers working together to create a future without breast cancer. The EPWF is funded through personal contributions, community fundraisers, sponsors, and memorial funds.

This is not something anyone associated with The Elyse Pantke White Foundation takes casually, we are joining together to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer in the same tireless manner that Elyse would pursued anything that meant the world to her.  Thank you for your support.

Elyse Pantke White Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization with the Tax ID #26-4575904
